Why do I need to undergo the account approval process?

As Paytron is a financial institution, when you sign up to Paytron, we are required by law, under the AML/CTF Act 2006, to establish the legitimacy of a customer’s identification and identify risk factors prior to allocating access to an account. This is also more commonly known as a Know Your Customer or KYC process.

We therefore need to first verify your identity and obtain certain documents from you before we can approve your account. Once all your required documents are submitted, it can take 24-48 hours before our team notifies you of your account approval status.
